We understand that we need people who are representative of the American public that we serve, not only varied, but also inclusive. Rear Admiral John Nadeau, Commander of the United States Coast Guard District Eight, and Dr. Reynold Verret, President of Xavier University in Louisiana, today signed the agreement that strengthens the Coast Guard`s relationship with the university and their College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiative (CSPI), which includes aviation and transportation management programs. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A historically black university in New Orleans has its seventh agreement to accelerate the acceptance of medical schools by some students. This agreement may be amended on the basis of additional requests, FMLA problems or office coverage and may be revoked at any time during the course of the contract by the employee or line manager. Xavier recognizes that the flexibility of work systems is an important organizational strategy that has a positive impact on the performance and commitment of university staff and is mentioned in the university`s policy. The aim of this mutually beneficial agreement is to clarify the duration, timetable and expectations of a flexible working agreement. John Nadeau, commander of the 8th District of the U.S. Coast Guard, and Xavier University President Reynold Verret, virtually met to sign the agreement that strengthens the relationship between the university and the Coast Guard through their College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiative (CSPI).

The Coast Guard CSPI is a fully funded scholarship program that pays for up to two years of college, books and significant assistance for full-time students. The program includes aviation and transportation management programs. . . . During school enrollment, a CSPI candidate is admitted to the USCG as a non-guardian (E-3). In addition to full education, students receive full pay, allowances, rights and benefits of being an active member of the USCG.
